VPLL Season Cancelled

Hello Villa Park Little League Families!

After careful consideration by the VPLL Board of Directors, we have decided to officially cancel the remainder of the 2020 spring season. We have investigated and discussed our options at great length, reviewing guidelines from the CDC, the County of Orange, and Little League International. This was not an easy decision, but felt it was time to move on and start working towards a safe and fun return to baseball either in the Fall or of course our VPLL Spring 2021 season.   You will receive follow up information regarding our Fall Baseball program and the return to play safety guidelines set forth at that time.  The health and safety of our players and families remains our number one priority.  We would like to thank all of our VPLL families for your patience and support during this challenging and unprecedented time.

As stated in our previous e-mail, there are two options for the refund being offered by the league. Offered refund amounts would be as follows:

  • AAA: $56
  • AA: $56
  • Single A/Rookie: $46
  • T Ball: $46
  • Juniors (50/70): $35

We are also including the option to decline the refund and donate that remaining portion of your registration fee to the league.

In order to complete your donation/refund request, please indicate your preference for each player on the attached form and submit back to the league by July 13.

We understand that registration fees are a significant expense to many families and in these times of economic uncertainty, every penny counts. Please remember that we are a non-profit organization and your registration fees are what enable us to thrive. VPLL incurred a number of expenses preparing for the start of our season. These costs include expenses for field maintenance/upgrades, league charter fees, uniforms, equipment, snack bar, and insurance, to name a few.  Additionally, we were unable to perform our fundraising and snack bar sales for most of the season, which help to offset these league expenses. This donation will help cover these costs as well as our ongoing field maintenance and any safety improvements needed for next season. If you are in a position to help VPLL, please consider converting your full registration into a tax-deductible donation.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you back on the field soon!
